Ways To Remove Dried Blood Stains From Bed Sheets
So, how to remove dried blood stains from bedsheets?
My friends, several methods for removing blood from your bedsheet are listed below.
You can choose between the possibilities based on what you currently have in your home or whether you want to buy the stain remover from a nearby store.
Remember that the longer a bloodstain has been on your bed sheet, the more difficult it will be to clean it.
We recommend doing the process several times if it has been stained with blood for a long period.
Option 1: Make a baking soda paste
Two clean rugs or clothes, baking soda, and cold water are required.
A minimum of one hour is required to finish this process.
The procedure is as follows:
First, you have to take the bed sheet off your bed.
You should put such a bedsheet on a washing machine.
Now, mix a cup of baking soda with two cups of cold water in a 1:2 ratio.
Using a clean rug or clothing, apply the combined solution to the area with the bloodstains; do so on the surface of your bed sheet.
Leave it on for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than an hour.
After which, you can rinse the area with cold water.
Take note that it’s best not to let too much water soak into the cushion.
Doing so will prevent it from drying rapidly.
Anyhow, place the damp part of the bedsheet on top of the other clean cloth.
Allow some time for the water in the pad to absorb.
The final step is to air dry it or use a dryer to do so.
Option #2. Using a stain remover
All you’ll need is a Gonzo stain remover, detergent, and a brush.
In this process, about 3 hours or more are required.
The procedure is as follows:
First, prepare the bed sheet that has a bloodstain.
Get safety gloves and use these to apply an adequate amount of Gonzo stain remover to the affected area.
Soak the stain remover product on the surface of your bed sheet for at least 10 minutes.
Wet the bed sheet’s surface with water and detergent once the product has sunk into the bloodstained area.
Using a brush, you can gently scrub the blood spot on the cushion.
It will take time, but it will be well worth the effort.
Now, rinse the cushion with warm water.
Allow the cushion to air dry or use a dryer to dry it.
Option #3.Using hydrogen peroxide
All you’ll need are a clean rug or clothe, 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, cornstarch, salt, and a vacuum cleaner.
A minimum of one hour is required to accomplish this process.

It will take at least 3 hours of your time to finish this method.
It’s important to keep in mind that the solution you’ll be making has a strong odor.
So, I recommend performing this process in an area away from children.
If the bloodstain is not that extensive, it’s better to skip this process.
If you insist, the procedure is as follows:
Prepare the bloodstained bed sheet. Blot the contaminated area with a cold-water-soaked cloth to dampen it.
Once the surface of the bedsheet has been moistened, completely cover it in salt.
After applying the salt, let the cushion dry fully.
Using 3 percent hydrogen peroxide, smear the remaining stain until it begins to bubble.
Now, dab the stain with a clean fabric until the bubbling stops.
Mix one tablespoon of ammonia with one cup of cold water in a 1:1 ratio.
Apply the mixture to the bloodstain on the bed sheet’s surface.
If you want to get rid of any ammonia odors, do so with cool water.
