Steps on How to Assemble a Lane Recliner

Step 1.  First, remove each piece of the chair from the box and lay it on your floor. If you’re working with a sectional recliner then all pieces should be laid out in an orderly fashion. The backrest will go at one end with both arms facing outward from there, while the seat is placed over to their respective ends as well.

Step 2. The next step is to attach the back of the chair onto its frame with screws and other hardware that came with it, using a Phillips head screwdriver or wrench. Be sure not to over-tighten any of these pieces as this will make your recliner harder to move. Once you have finished assembling the top half, flip it over to attach the seat.

Step 3. Put one side of your recliner onto its frame and tighten the screws, then place the other half down on top and secure it similarly. Make sure you do not over-tighten these pieces as this will make your chair harder to move later on. Once they are both attached, flip the chair over to attach the footrest.

Step 4. The next step is to screw in the back of your new recliner onto its frame, using a Phillips head screwdriver or wrench. Be sure not to overtighten these pieces as this will make them difficult for you later on when you want to move them around at home. Once that is done, turn your chair over to attach the other side of the back.

Step 5. Next is attaching the armrests and neck pillow on both sides to complete how to assemble lane recliner assembly instructions.

How to Deep Clean Lane Recliners

Lane recliners should be cleaned every three months with mild soap and water.

Do not use any cleaning products that contain bleach or ammonia as these will damage the fabric on your furniture, including Lane recliners. Follow instructions for how to deep clean lane recliners below::

Step One: Place the recliner in a bathtub or similar deep area. Use a gentle soap and water mixture to clean it, being careful not to spill any liquid on the floor. Clean all surfaces of your furniture with equal attention and care. Rinse off all soap residue from the chair before moving onto Step Two below.

Step Two: Make a mixture of three parts white vinegar and two parts water in a spray bottle. Spray the fabric with this solution, making sure to saturate all surfaces evenly before moving onto Step Three below.

Step Three: Mix one part cornstarch with five parts cold water. Dab a sponge or towel in this mixture and rub it in a gentle circular motion over the fabric. Clean all sides of the chair before moving onto Step Four below.

Step Four: Allow your recliner to air-dry for at least two hours before bringing it back into use or storing away. Dust off any hairs, dirt, and debris that may be collected on the fabric before storing.

Step Five: Store your recliner in a cool, dry location that is well-ventilated and away from any heat sources (radiators, space heaters).
