Once you have turned the fabric right side out, use a chopstick or something similar to push out all of the corners until they are nice and square. Then, tuck in the raw edge of the opening so that it is enclosed within the seam and sew close to the edge to enclose it.
Now your pages are all sewn together. Time to add some binding. Cut a piece of bias tape (or any other type of binding) that is about twice as long as your book is wide.
Pin one end of the bias tape to one corner of your book, and then start sewing it in a spiral along the edge of the book. When you get to the other corner, overlap the beginning of the bias tape by about ½ inch and sew it down. Then cut off any excess bias tape.
Your cloth book is now finished. To close it, tuck one end of the binding underneath the other and fasten with a safety pin or clip. And there you have it – an easy (and adorable) way to keep your little one entertained with his or her baby cloth book.
