How to Build an Easy Lego Recliner Chair

Lego is a toy that has been around for years and continues to be relevant today. It’s not just the kids who enjoy it- adults are also getting in on the fun!

Today we’re going to show you how to build an easy Lego recliner chair. This project will take about two hours from start to finish, but you’ll end up with something really cool in your living room! Let’s get started!

How to Build an Easy Lego Recliner Chair

Steps on Building an Easy Lego Recliner

Materials

  • A few Lego blocks
  • Scissors and pencil
  • Glue stick (optional)
  • Ruler and protractor or compass.

Step 1. The first step is to measure the width of your seat cushion, then cut out two pieces that are each 20cm wide. Next, you’ll need to cut four more pieces at 70cm long.

Step 2. You’ll then need to measure the length of your seat cushion and cut out two pieces that are each 60cm long, just like you did with the width.

Step 3. Once these four pieces have been made, they should be laid on top of one another so that there’s a small gap between them for them to be able to fold back and forth.

Step 4. Next measure the distance from one end of the two pieces that are 20cm wide, then cut out a piece at this length for each side of your chair.

Step 5. Lay these four smaller strips on top of one another in order so they can be folded down when you want it to recline.

Step 6. You’ll be left with two pieces measuring 60cm long and four of those 20 cm wide. Get one of the wider strips, then measure how much you need to cut off so that it matches up in length with the other piece.

Step 7. This needs to match at both ends because this is what will remain unfolded while the chair reclines.

Step 8. After you’ve made these two cuts, measure how wide the gap needs to be for it to fold back and forth (in my case this is about 20 cm). Cut off a strip at this width from both pieces of your chair so that they are now able to fold.

Step 9. Fold them down onto themselves so that the chair is flat and start to glue the edges together.

Step 10. The two pieces of fabric should have an overlap when they’re folded down onto themselves, then you can fold this in so that it makes a crease on both sides – which will be your edge for gluing.

In my case, I’m using hot-melt glue but you can use whatever you want. Once the glue has dried, unfold your chair and it should be ready to go!

What is Lego Recliner Chair?

Lego Recliner Chair is a DIY project that takes less than half an hour to complete and allows you to take your favorite chair from couch mode to reclining in the blink of an eye.

It’s as easy as Lego! All you need are two sheets of sturdy cardboard, glue, scissors or a knife, and some tape – plus one more person to help you with the assembly!

How to Deep Clean Lego Recliner Chair

Step 1. Find a Lego chair that will need to be deep cleaned. This could involve taking apart the entire chair and cleaning each piece individually, or just dumping some soapy water on it. Remember: don’t use any chemicals! For this project, you’ll want to start with an easy option (i.e., not dismantling the whole thing ).

Step 2. Start by dumping some soapy water on the chair, and then scrubbing with a toothbrush or other small scrub brush. Get in between all of those tiny pieces! You’ll want to do this twice before you let it dry. Make sure that every side is cleaned thoroughly each time.

Step 3. When your lego recliner chair is dry, take a lint roller or something similar and use it to get rid of any hair that may have been caught in the seat area.

Step 4. Add some furniture polish if you want your chair to look nice. Remember no chemicals!

How to Care for Easy Lego Recliner Chair

You should use soapy water to clean the chair. Fill a bucket with warm, soapy water, and then soak your Lego recliner in it for about 20 minutes before rinsing it off thoroughly. While cleaning, you might find pieces that have fallen out of their place! Be sure to reassemble them as well.

How to Prevent Damage on a Lego Recliner Chair

You can prevent damage on your Lego recliner by moving chairs from one side of the room to another periodically so that it doesn’t always sit in the same place. This will also help keep a fresh perspective!
