However, if you experience scratching, you may change these pieces manually. Purchase a replacement component and then proceed as follows. My friends, there are more things that you should know, so without further ado, let’s start!

Steps To Replace Dryer Drum Rollers

Now, let’s know the steps on how to replace dryer drum rollers. Here are the following:

Step #1. Switch off the dryer

You will have to disassemble the dryer to achieve the supporting rollers just at the back of the device for this replacement. This entails disconnecting and fiddling with cables. Disconnect the dryer before beginning to protect both yourself and the equipment. You may also be interested to know about how to disconnect a gas dryer.

Step #2. Removing the interior of the dryer

To begin, remove the dryer lid. Take the two screws that keep the doors in place (one on each hinge). Next, using a firm grasp on the top of the door, raise the joint tabs that slip into the panel’s slots up to free. Put down the door. Remove the two screws and hold hooks on the door’s front side where it shuts.

The rest of the front panel is shaped like a “U.” Grab the top parts and lift the top of the front cover away from the machine’s frame. Tilt it back past a 45-degree angle towards you. This will release the lower portion from the device’s lower hooks. Then take up the entire front cover and place it aside. Next, unscrew the pins at the top of the “U” on a front panel.

Detach the tops by loosening the screws that hold them in place and rotating the bottom of every clip toward the outside edge. Place the hooks and screws to the side. Then, raise the front corner of the top panel and twist it up to rest against the back wall and out of the way.

Step #3. Removing the front panel

You now can access all of the front panel’s borders surrounding the dryer barrel. Remove the four nuts that hold the panel’s edge to the machine’s body. Don’t loosen the bolts near the board, which doesn’t contact the panel; they have the frame in place and remove it later.

In the upper right corner, look for the cables connected to the light bulb. Disconnect the wires and slip the wire lengths outside the holding ring. Then gently place them in the device’s bottom chamber to don’t get strangled during the following process. The front barrier is the metal structure that surrounds the dryer drum and links it to the side panels. When viewed from the front, this portion is connected to the dryer by screw and nut: one on the upper right side and the bottom left. Remove these mounting bolts. Then, remove the barrier and keep it aside.

Step #4. Drum removing

The black belt that wraps around the dryer drum also wraps around the idler pulley at the dryer’s rear. First, reach beneath the dryer drum and pull the roller pulley circular towards the dryer’s opposite wall to replace the belt. This releases enough stress to allow you to draw the belt off from the pulleys and let it hang loosely all around the drum. Push the pulley back. Hold the pulley and the edge of the disc and carefully raise it just out of the machine’s top. Set it aside for now.

Step #5. Remove the broken roller

The two fixed rollers are situated at 5 and 7 o’clock on the rear of the machine. Discover which of the support rollers has failed. To replace it, twist its lock ring of the center shaft using a sharp screwdriver. Then take the washer, support roller, and washer behind this one. These components should be simple to remove off the shaft. Set things aside for now.

Step #6. Install new roller

Move a washer, the supporting roller, and a secondary washer over the blade of the supporting roller. Use the new washers which came with the supporting kit rather than the old ones. Then attach the lock ring. Ascertain that the support roller may spin freely without falling off the shaft.

Step #7. Reassemble the dryer

Retighten the belt’s pressure. Turn the top of the idler pulley round to the left from underneath the drum. The belt should then be wrapped all around the right side of the central white pulley and the left hand of the black bottom pulley. Loosen the idler pulley slowly to keep the belt in place. Reinstall the front wall.

To do so, position the bulkhead such that the expanding tabs face forward. Circumferentially slide the wall all around the drum. You might have to elevate the drum somewhat to get it all to lock correctly. Then, replace the bolts in the lower left and upper right corners while holding them in place.
