A stroller is a great invention, but sometimes it can be difficult to move around without wheels. How frustrating! But don’t worry – this blog post will teach you how to put wheels on a stroller in just four steps. All you need are some tools that any handy person should have and an afternoon of spare time.
Steps on Putting Wheels On A Stroller
Step One. Check the diameter of your wheel’s axle and measure it against the width of your frame, then pick up two pipe clamps that fit snugly around both ends of your metal tubing with an inch or so in between them. Loosen one clamp while tightening down on the other until they match.”
Step Two. Measure how far apart you want your front legs from each other by holding onto one leg and measuring its distance from the centre point that connects both sides at shoulder height (see image). Hold this measurement up next to where you will be attaching the first wheel.
Step Three. Cut your pipe clamps about three inches long and attach them to the outside of both legs by drilling a hole for each side in the appropriate spot, then tightening with an Allen wrench. When you tighten one clamp down on top of another, they should form a circle around where you’re attaching it to the frame.”
Step Four: Take your metal tubing and measure out two pieces that are six feet in length apiece For these steps, please refer to our video tutorial here. These pipes will act as prongs or axles connecting from one wheel assembly to the other so be sure not to cut off any excess material after measuring!
How to Fold a Three Wheel Stroller
Step One: Nearly all three-wheelers will allow you to flip down and release the backrest so it lays flat. If you cannot find a button or lever to release the backrest, look on the underside of the seat and there will be either an opening or hole that can give you access
Step Two: Unclip any straps holding down your baby
Step Three: On most models, this is as simple as pressing in two plastic clips on the back of the seat at either end
Step Four: Now you can lift on the handlebar and slowly fold it down
How to Fold a Cosco Flash Stroller
Step One: Push the release button on your stroller and pull up
Step Two: Grab both sides of the handlebar near to where it meets at one end, then fold it down as far as possible. The front-wheel will now be in a bent position with its axle out behind you
Step Three: Reach around for the seat bar that is nearest to you from either side (left or right) and gently pushes it towards each other until they meet in the middle. If done correctly, this should lock into place without any levers required
Step Four: To keep your Cosco Flash Stroller folded, simply tuck away anything sticking out below by folding them nicely against themselves before lifting off any handles that are in the way
Step Five: Once again, make sure no handles or wheels are sticking out and your stroller is nice and compact. Now you can simply lift it by grabbing hold of any handlebar that’s not being used
How to Unlock the Front-wheel on a Nuna stroller
To unlock the front wheel on a Nuna stroller, you are going to need to have your key in hand. You can find this under any of the handles; it has been designed so that it is easy for parents with one free hand and their child wrapped around them
Step One: Remove cover from keyhole by pressing down firmly on the top edge of plastic tab until completely detached. The inside will now be exposed as well as an opening at the bottom where you can insert your key
Step Two: Place the end of your car’s key into a hole, turn counterclockwise (to unlock) approximately five degrees while pulling up slightly
Step Three: Test out the locking mechanism before continuing- if done correctly, your key will not be able to turn and you’ll hear a clicking sound. If this does not happen, continue turning the key until it does
Step Four: Hold the handle of the stroller up with one hand while inserting your other arm through loops on the end of the canopy. You want to make sure that you have enough room in between your body and the front wheel so that there is less chance for injury should your child react suddenly after being put into position.
How to Unlock the Wheels on a Stroller
Step One: Fold your stroller up and lock the wheels into place (left or right) by pushing them together until they click. This should happen with no levers needed!
