Buy a cap of the same size as the diameter of the gas valve and fix it after wrapping the Teflon tape or applying pipe joint compound on the threads. Pull out the power cord from the receptacles and now you have to take off the cover plate from the rear panel by using a nut driver. Loosen three terminals after removing the plate and move them out of their place. Now you have successfully removed the gas and electric connections from the dryer. It’s time to remove the dryer vent. Use a screwdriver to loosen the clamp from the exhaust and the vent. Slide the 4-inch clamp and set it aside.
