Step 1. Measure how far out you want the chair to go in order for your feet to touch the ground.
Step 2. Purchase a swivel mechanism which will attach with two screws and nuts at either end of the recliner rocker’s base frame. You can find these parts at any home improvement store, including Home Depot or Lowe’s.
Step 3. Unscrew one side of each screw that is holding on the current hardware on your chair. If there are multiple sets of holes for bolts, make sure not to unscrew all six (or however many) as this could create too much tension on the pieces when they are attached back together by just one set of bolts.
Step 4. Remove both metal arms from where they were before you unscrewed them.
Step 5. Attach the swivel mechanism to one side of where you previously removed a metal arm. You’ll notice how it has two bolt holes on either end and they will be in line with each other when attached properly; this part is what grabs onto your chair’s frame tightly, securing it in place so that there are no gaps or wiggling motion.
Step 6. Attach the other set of bolts through both sets of pre-drilled screw hole locations on the base frame for extra security if necessary by using new nuts (if needed).
Do not over tighten as this could snap off any small plastic pieces located inside these screws which can lead to an uneven connection between parts – use caution here!
How do you fix a swivel rocker?

This can be done by removing screws and pulling out on a leg of the chair until it’s level with the other three legs.
