Step 1. Unplug the recliner and move it to an area where you can work on it.
Step 2. Use a screwdriver or Allen wrench to find the screws that are holding all of the pieces together in place. There will be one at every joint (where two parts join). Start with any of these joints, but avoid removing any screws from the centre of the chair.
Step 3. Pop-out each screw with a tool and set it aside in an organized way so you can easily put them back later.
