What To Write in Baby Book? A Guide

What to write in baby book? There are several things you can write in a baby book. I’m going to give you an example of what we wrote for my daughter, but there are so many different ways that you could do this, and I would encourage you to be as creative as possible!

The more personal the notes, pictures or memories that you include in your scrapbook for your child will make it far more valuable than any store-bought baby book ever could.

What to write in baby book

Parent Pages: A page where each parent writes something about themselves. What were some of the defining moments of their life? Who has they been influenced by? When did they first realize that they wanted children? How does having a child change their perspective on life – how has it made them better people?

Grandparent Pages: This is similar to the parent pages, but this time you’ll have each set of grandparents write something about themselves. Again, you could ask similar questions that are relevant to their life – what was their childhood like?

How did they meet your child’s other grandparents and what were some defining moments in their lives together as parents or growing up?

Godparents/Mentors Page: A page where the godparents or mentors for your child can write a message for your baby. You should include a picture of both godmother and godfather here (if applicable).

If there aren’t any mentors or friends who will be involved in your child’s life that you would like to choose as godparents, then this is a good place to include some of your closest friends.

Family Page: A page where you can write something about your family – what are the names of all the people in your family? Are there any other babies or children? What do they mean to you and how have they influenced who you are today?

If possible it may also be nice to include pictures here of some relatives that baby might not get an opportunity to meet (for example if there’s someone who has passed on).

Siblings Page: This one will only apply if you already have kids, but it could still make for a really fun gift! Write something about each sibling and include pictures if you have them.

What are the most siblings do together? What is each of their favorite things about one another? How does your new baby fit into the family dynamic already and what kind of relationship do they hope to have with their new sibling?

Firsts Page: This could be a fun page for babies to look back on when they’re older. Include a picture and short note for every first milestone – like rolling over, sitting up, taking their first step etc. It can also include less tangible moments too, like the first time your baby smiled or laughed!

Favorite Things Page: Babies change so quickly that it can be hard to keep track of all of their likes and dislikes as they grow. Make a page where you write down what your baby’s favorite things are at the moment – food? toys? songs or books? etc. You can add to this periodically so that it stays up-to-date with their current preferences!

Growth Chart: This one is pretty self-explanatory but still important – include a growth chart in case anyone ever asks how tall your little bundle of joy was when they were born (or if they just want to compare). It’ll be fun for them too because then they can see how much they grow each year!

Memories Page: This could get really creative depending on what kind of memories you want to include, such as photos from special trips and events when the baby was growing up or even just notes about things they did that day like playing at the park.

Achievements Page: This one is similar to the growth chart but it’s more focused on achievements rather than body measurements. You can include pictures and short descriptions of some of your baby’s greatest accomplishments, whether it be their first step or their first word!

Future Plans Page: Babies are so tiny and helpless when they arrive in our lives that we often forget what a big world awaits them outside those four walls – this page will help remind them (and you!) how much potential there really is for greatness ahead if only we keep working hard towards our dreams!

Make sure this includes photos too because babies love seeing themselves through different eyes – especially when it’s for something positive like accomplishing goals!

A Letter Page: This can be any kind of letter you want; from your baby to a future version of themselves, or even just an apology if they feel like writing one now that they’re older and wiser (or both!). It doesn’t have to belong either – just enough so it can fit on the page.

But not too much else this could get messy later down the line when trying to glue everything together again after putting them all through their paces with different kinds of ink pads etcetera. You might also want some extra paper in case things don’t go as planned the first time around.

Just remember though – these letters will be around for a long time so don’t forget about them when the time comes!

Favorite Photos Page: This page can include anything from pictures taken at birthdays or holidays right through to your baby’s first steps. The possibilities are endless really.

Just make sure they’re in chronological order if possible – this way you’ll have something nice lined up next year too as well as all those memories stored away safely in one place forever!

It might even help keep things organized during those busy times (like Christmas) when everyone else seems hell-bent on making everything chaotic again just because there aren’t enough hours left before bedtime and then suddenly it feels like midnight has come early for us all once more.

What should be written on a card for my unborn child?

Write down all your wishes and hopes for their future, as well as any other thoughts or feelings about them which might come out when writing cards like this. You could also include a photo of yourself or your partner on the front.

Inside, you could continue with more thoughts about your child, as well as any personal messages for them – maybe even include some predictions about their future too! You could also write out favorite quotes which resonate with you and why they matter to you.

Whatever feels right to you is what should go in the card! Just make sure it’s heartfelt, honest, and from the heart.
